The update with the free refills is not a fix for the false reading AdBlue sensor, it's an emissions fix where the emissions are too high during regeneration, so the software fix is to inject lots more AdBlue during regeneration and hence more used over the life of the vehicle. so the free refills are compensation.
Nov 1, 2021. #1. Had the Cali since late 2019, around March this year I filled up with Ad Blue with no issues. Range increased back up to, I forget but many 1000's. The Van has only done 7,000 miles. Last weekend I was in Cornwall and out of the blue (pun intended) a yellow spanner appears saying 650 miles until engine shutdown - due to no Ad Blue.
iltdi. Posting this up, hoping someone can help out, i have a 2012 passat the low adblue indicator is on and will not go off despite filling tank to the top. The first thing that i was informed to try was to leave the key on for 30 sec to a min in the on position without starting, then turn to the off position for the same time period.
On that basis I would say buy some more and put in 13.6 litres. Or go to a fuel station and use the pump to fill up. It will recalculate the range whatever amount you put in. Put the 10ltrs in switch ign on wait for adblue range to update then start up engine.
1. Start the Vehicle: The journey to resetting your Adblue warning begins with a simple step – starting your vehicle. As you turn the key and feel the engine’s reassuring hum, ensure that all dashboard lights illuminate. This initial step sets the stage for a successful reset process. 2.

T6 Guru. 6 Dec 2023. #1. So I'm at the 250 mile warning. Was hoping the adblue issue would rectify itself but it 'aint happening so I'm gonna have to drop some out of the tank to see if that resets it. I see @lucky13 managed to do this by getting underneath and removing a pipe with a quick release connector to drain it which is my plan but just Our van has ongoing issues with P20EE / 31103 errors. It's done the adblue range and no restart warning thing once too, but that went away by itself. VW have already updated the software and replaced 'something' (they mentioned glow plugs, but I don't see how that's related!) under warranty, but it's thrown the same errors again over the weekend. Member. 9 Jul 2021. #1. Purchased a T6 150 (2020) end of March 2021, 14k on the clock and just serviced including AdBlue top-up. AdBlue range said 6,500 miles remaining when I collected it. Van now has 16,200 miles, and AdBlue range is 5,000, which it been sitting on for some time. Is this correct, should it not be down to 4,500 miles, also O77MUHD.
