Instead, Dead Island 2 opts for the auto-save system. This relies on the game itself to save your progress at various points throughout a session. You will know when your game is auto-saving when you see the white palm tree icon appear at the bottom of the screen. When the white palm tree icon is moving, your game is currently being saved.

Plug USB into computer and load Horizon. 5.) Click Device Explorer then, then select games and select "Dead Island". 6.) Drag your save into the gray area and click contents. 7.) RIGHT click on "save_0" and select "replace". 8.) Replace your save with my modded one that you downloaded to your desktop.

He was transferring a save from steam to gamepass. Not sure if that article will help or not. It does explain how to find the file path to the game saves. So maybe you might be able to find the save from one rig and transfer it to the other. I was figuring it would be cloud based like the xbox's are with the saves, but from what I have read
Image via Deep Silver. Fortunately or unfortunately for some, Dead Island 2 does not feature any manual save game mechanic. To save your game, you’ll need to wait for the autosave feature to kick in. If you plan to have a specific save file at a certain point of the game, that won’t be possible. Yet, not everything is as terrible as it sounds. Unlike from the first, you can change the volume or whatever in the options and you automatically save. But not in Riptide, is there another way to save in the game? pause and quit and it will save. gangoplush posted pause and quit and it will save. As long as the biohazard symbol pops up, its automatically saved.
Charmile 10 years ago #2. Not on your own; need to give it to another player, then I have that player give it to your other character. No one ever talks about it. They just do it. And you go on with your lives, ignoring the signs all around you. And then one day, the unthinkable becomes reality.
What I suggest is get a 2nd flash drive and copy a new save to it and compare the two and figure out what you need to do. I copied the save files to a USB stick, then to the pc in a folder of its own. I used the USB stick for other stuff over the 3 or 4 weeks in between.
something you should know about the storage, toward the end of the game you will lose access to it. If you want items to carry over into your new game+, then you should make sure you take the important items out of storage before the end. EiyuJPN 12 years ago #7. actually I found that Jin gives you back your things in new game +.
You can use a trainer like WeMod or Cheat Engine to mod/cheat the game in some ways, but there's no sort of inventory editor like Dise yet. As someone who has beaten the game already, I just want to make really broken weapons like back in the day. 2. [deleted]
