Both of ours are pretty similarly capable. My WJ is a but more bulky though so the ZJ does a but better in that sense. WKs can be pretty capable but uts more expensive to get a lift kit and theres more parts that could break. And with a wk2 its independent all around.

AWD versions of either are slightly undesirable IMO. I really like the steering linkage and track bar of the WJ's. It is a significant improvement over that of the XJ/ZJ/TJ. My wife's 2004 4.7L WJ Limited is pretty badass for what little money we have into it.
After 2.5", you'll need to start spending more money to replace more stuff: track bar, track bar mounts, ball joints, drag link, tie rod, tie rod ends. It also gets more difficult (more expensive) to get the vehicle's handling dialed in for highway driving and you end up chasing more issues. The WJ gets squishy and top-heavy when it's lifted

Occuring at 40 to 45 MPH usually has a root cause in wheel balance. First thing I would do is to swap the front and rear wheels, and see if it still happens. Any looseness in the trackbar will aggravate it. A wheel out of round can cause it. A bad motor mount can cause a reaction like death wobble.
